In the afternoon of November 23, 2019, the kick-off meeting of the 32nd Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Chemical Society was held in the West Suburb Hotel in Beijing, and all preparations for the conference were officially launched.
The annual academic meeting of the Chinese Chemical Society is held every two years, which is the highest level, largest scale and most influential comprehensive academic exchange platform in China's chemical field. The 32nd Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Chemical Society will be held in Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center from May 25 to 28, 2020, and will be registered on May 24. This year's conference is planned to set up 56 academic branches, and will hold theme forums, exhibitions and other activities at the same time. It is estimated that the number of participants will exceed 10000.
According to the traditional organization mode of the annual academic meeting, each academic branch is preferentially organized by the discipline/professional committee of the Chinese Chemical Society. More than 100 chairmen, vice chairmen, branch chairmen and contacts from various disciplines/professional committees attended the kick-off meeting.
Fan Qinghua, Secretary General of the Chinese Chemical Society, Zheng Suping, Executive Deputy Secretary General, and Li Zhibo, Deputy Secretary General attended the meeting. Dr. Deng Chunmei, the secretariat of the Society, summarized the organization of the 31st Annual Academic Conference and introduced the preparation plan for the 32nd Annual Academic Conference; Dr. Ju Huajun introduced the setting of the branch of the 32nd Annual Conference and the use of the conference system of the Society. Researcher Zhuang Naifeng, Researcher Wang Yawei, Researcher Chen Bin, Professor Liu Jianwei and Professor Yan Wenfu carefully prepared and shared the organizational experience of the academic branch of the 31st Annual Academic Conference.
It was decided that the website of the 32nd Annual Academic Conference of the Chinese Chemical Society would be officially launched on December 1, 2019, and an online registration and contribution system would be opened at the same time. All the organizers will do their best to organize the annual academic meeting, so as to better provide a platform for chemistry workers to enlighten their thinking and exchange ideas, and make positive contributions to promoting the development of chemistry in China and the academic impact of chemistry at home and abroad.
